08 September 2024 - Hike: Schynige Platte
I woke up this morning to a beautiful sunrise over the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. It was still fairly clear first thing in the morning. I went down and had a really nice breakfast, packed up, and headed out on a circular hike that took me out to the "point of no return" for a hike to First. As I approached the far end of the hike the clouds came in and it became foggy with limited visibility. After the hike I took the cog-wheel train back down the mountain and returned to Brig.
