My flight from Los Angeles arrived in Zürich at 3:30pm, right on time. I had already activated my Swiss SIM card for my phone, and purchased my "Swiss Travel Pass" for public transport (trains, buses, boats, etc) anywhere in Switzerland.  I was ready to go!  Expecting to breeze right through immigration as usual for Switzerland, I was greeted by a Disneyesque queue that took nearly 40 minutes to get through!

No worries! I had the trusty SBB (train) app on my phone and quickly got the train plan to get from the airport to Brig.  That plan involved a very quick change of trains (4 minutes) in Bern.  Unfortunately, a had a "senior moment" during the change and got on the wrong train!!!  Even more unfortunately, it was a non-stop train back to Zürich!!!   So - long story short, I went from Zürich to Bern, back to Zürich, back to Bern, made the correct train change, and finally to Brig, adding about 3 extra hours of train travel to an already long travel day!!  I finally got to the hotel at about 10pm.
